About the event

The Hooding Ceremony is a special academic tradition that recognizes the completion of a doctoral degree. It is a meaningful celebration of years of dedication, research, and perseverance, shared with mentors, family, and friends.

The PhD Hooding Ceremony will take place in the Hermann Hall Auditorium on Friday, May 15 starting at 10:30 am (however, you should arrive earlier, see below).  The ceremony lasts for about 60 minutes and will be followed by light refreshments.

We will start seating guests at 9:00 am.  Students should arrive no later than 9:30 am.
